CAMILLE EN BAL

Camille en Bal released her new music video “Ma Mamé Miá” on December 10! “Once again, in keeping with the theme and story of our album, we filmed the video by the sea, in the beautiful and unique seaside resort of La Franqui/Leucate (11).”

A song, and a mazurka too, in tribute to our grandmothers.

A huge thank you to Julien Bresson from Fiasco Productions for this magnificent clip. Thank you to Ox’Ivent Dau Clapas to production.

De belles images avec de belles personnes : Hugues et Michelle, Camille Simeray, Maud Seguier Dayron Aguila Arbolaez, Onel Miranda Ramos.

For over 20 years, Camille has been a recognized voice on the Occitan scene.
The Languedoc singer with a strong personality offers you an original dance that draws its inspiration from the Pays d’Oc and blends naturally with the tumultuous Afro-Cuban rhythms.
With this repertoire passed down in the rich Occitan language with its splendid poetry, the musicians, some of Occitan origin and others Cuban, dare to produce impulsive sounds and voices united and timbred in the same choir. The songs and melodies are sometimes composed.

A unique and striking musical moment in the service of traditional Occitan dances, combining the pleasure of inviting each and every one of us to join in.

Between the earthy flavors of wine country, wild flights of fancy, primitive percussion, and intertwined voices, “Camille en Bal” will have you dancing the night away!

En dança !!

Camille Simeray: Vocals, accordion, percussion
Maud Séguier: Flute, vocals, percussion
Dayron Aguila Arbolaez: Trumpet, percussion
Onel Miranda Ramos: Percussion, vocals

ALBUM DE CÒR E D’AIGA

Released on September 13, 2024

A repertoire created and traditional in Occitan and French, for dancing.
This album and new show confirm the impulses revealed over time. Inherited works and creations combined with bold musical imagination.
The creation and recording of this album took place in two worlds: two distant countries, the South of France, where the accents and flavors in your mouth make you want to tell stories, and Cuba, where there is time to take your time and sing for hours without any information, however important, disturbing you and reminding you of your duties and responsibilities.

Once again, dance will be at the heart of it all. Dance is “the constraint” that drives us forward. Our music should make you and us feel the exhilarating thrill of dance.

Writing music and songs, sometimes with lyricist partners such as Roland Ramade and Yves Seguier. Arrangements (in part) as a collective.

Recording and creation in both countries of origin, France (Occitania) and Cuba (Trinidad). Project leader: Camille Simeray, singer-songwriter and Occitan at heart, who wants to make you dance. Cuban percussionist Onel Miranda Ramos, a master of Afro-Cuban music.

Cuban trumpeter Dayron Aguila Arbolaez, a traditional (son cubano) and contemporary (timba) musician. Occitan musician Maud Seguier, traditional and orchestral flutist, singer in the group Barrut.
