ZOHUD

Since January 1, 2026, Ox’ivent has been delighted to welcome Zohud, a Palestinian musician who arrived in Montpellier after a very long journey, to accompany and support him in his career.

Founder of the first progressive rock band in Gaza, Khata’a Mattbaie, Zohud now composes solo, playing guitar, drums, and keyboard. He is preparing an EP to be released in spring 2026, perfectly illustrating our mission: to support artists who make music and ideas resonate, and who cross borders with their talent and energy.

We have launched a Hello Asso fundraiser to help us support and accompany Zohud in his career in France!

We’ll let you discover his world for yourself!

Zohud is an independent Palestinian musician who began his musical journey in Gaza, Palestine, where he founded the Gaza Strip’s first progressive rock band, Khata’a Mattbaie (Typo). As the band’s leader, lead guitarist, and producer, he released their debut album in 2016, titled Awal Khata’a (The First Mistake).

In 2019, due to the difficult conditions in Gaza, the group ceased its activities. Since then, Zohud has continued his career as a solo musician under his own name, ZOHUD. A versatile artist, he plays guitar, drums, and keyboard, and is also a composer, songwriter, arranger, and producer of his own music. He recently moved to Montpellier, France, and is working on an EP to be released in spring 2026.

SOLO

Zohud is a solo guitar and vocal project that invites audiences to discover poetry sung in Arabic, carried by an intimate and sensitive atmosphere.
With acoustic melodies and profound lyrics, Zohud offers a musical journey filled with emotion and delicacy. This stripped-down format creates a unique closeness with the audience, making each performance authentic and immersive.
The project is equally suited to festivals, house concerts, and performance venues, offering each location a warm and memorable experience.

All ages – Duration: 20 to 40 minutes

ROCK BAND

This new rock project, currently in development, marks an ambitious step in his artistic career.
First welcomed by Unissons in Montpellier, he was able to rethink and develop a rock project that began much earlier in Gaza, where he also founded the first progressive rock band, Khata’a Mattbaie.
He is now developing his own network of local musicians to bring his music to life in an XXL format. Designed for the stage, this project stands out for its powerful collective energy, rich arrangements, and strong stage presence. The goal: to offer an intense and unifying show, tailored for large stages and major events.
